Since then, he has been a research associate at Heidelberg University (2019-2021), tenure-track assistant professor at Lappeenranta\u2013Lahti University of Technology (LUT, 2021-2023), and Academy of Finland research fellow (2023-2024). Currently, he is a professor at Saarland University and a docent\/adjunct professor at Aalto University, LUT, and the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences in Rwanda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andreas Rupp\u2019s mathematical research focuses on non-conforming finite element methods: he develops and analyses efficient solution strategies and stabilizing schemes. He applies these methods to soil science applications, the development of electric engines, and the optimal design of drug capsules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Andreas Rupp obtained his PhD from the University Erlangen\u2013Nuremberg in May 2019.
