On quotients of quasitriangular Hopf algebras.

We discuss the construction of Hopf algebra quotients canonically associated to an R-matrix in a finite dimensional Hopf algebra as studied in Int. Math. Res. Not. 2006, 1--18 (2006). As an application, we give a proof of the fact that a quasitriangular Hopf algebra of odd square-free dimension is necessarily cocommutative.
