Poisson structures in Lie theory

In the first part of the talk, I will give a construction that yields many Poisson structures associated to semisimple Lie groups. In the second part of the talk, I will discuss an example related to $G_0$-orbits on the flag variety of $G$, where $G_0$ is a real semisimple Lie group and $G$ its complexification.
