Fast prototyping of numerical methods: 10 years of DiSk++ and new HHO directions
In the last 10 years the DiSk++ code supported many applications of the HHO method to various problems, mostly in solid mechanics. At the same time the code went through many rounds of improvement, and currently offers a rather easy-to-use interface to quickly develop and test new discontinuous skeletal methods. In the first part of the talk we will discuss how DiSk++ is structured, what it provides and how we code the main HHO operators using it. In the second part of the talk we will discuss one recent exploration of new HHO paradigms, the stabilization-free HHO: we will go through its construction, some of its properties and the missing pieces.
