Cubic fourfolds with finite dimensional Chow motive

In this talk I will describe some classes of cubic fourfolds that have a finite dimensional Chow motive, in the sense of Kimura. This will be obtained via some explicit intersection theory on the moduli space of cubic fourfolds, and the well-known relation with K3 surfaces and moduli spaces of sheaves on K3 surfaces.
