The Inverse scattering Transform and some integrable equations in physics
The inverse scattering transform is one of the biggest improvements in the last 40 years for exact solving of nonlinear evolution equations. After an introduction to the said transform, I will show briefly some examples in canonical fluid dynamics equations, as well as the applications for breaking waves for instance.
