4d/2d duality and Moore-Tachikawa symplectic varieties
This talk will be about a conjecture in physics that relates a certain class of symplectic varieties and representation theory of infinite-dimensoinal algebras. I will introduce a remarkable new family of symplectic varieties called Moore-Tachikwa varieties arising in this context, and explain how the construction can be naturally upgraded to the Kac-Moody setting.
