Ph.D. Daniel CASTANON QUIROZ is invited to IMAG from 15 May to 22 June 2024

Daniel CASTANON QUIROZ is currently an assistant professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).  He obtained his Ph.D. in mathematics at the university of Texas A&M in United States. After that he was a postdoctoral fellow at the university of Montpellier (at IMAG), and then a postdoctoral fellow at the university of Côte d’Azur (at LJAD). He main research interest is numerical analysis using finite elements for solving applications related to fluid flow problems. »

He will also take part in the launch of the NEMESIS project, which will take place from 19 to 21 June 2024, speaking on 19 June at 14:45 pm. Talk title: An introduction to HHO methods with applications to incompressible fluid flows.
